Kennebec Fire Chief steps down after 31 years

 Don Manger of Kennebec was honored at an open house last Sunday for his service to the Kennebec Fire Department after 54 years as a member, 31 of those years as Fire Chief. The event was hosted by the KFD. Manger stepped down from office last April, and Rod Bowar was named Chief. Other officers include Assistant Chief Steve Manager, Secretary/Treasurer Chaz Bowar. Matt Collins, Todd Longville, Jake Longville, Trusty Mertens, Ty Uthe, Ryan Husman and Brian Miller serve as captains. Don remains a member of the department.
