EMS teach staff life saving techniques

The Lyman School District invited the Lyman County EMS to the teacher in-service held Monday, September 24 to teach staff the American Heart Association’s “hands-only” CPR, proper use of an AED, administering Narcan and epinephrine, and what to do if a student faints. Informational sessions were also held on the current opioid epidemic and what things are being done on a local level. “Hands-only” CPR does not involve breaths or checking of the pulse, but involves compressions of the chest only. Staff members took turns at practicing CPR for three minute intervals.
