[b]Johnson-Peterson Legion honors continuous members[/b]

The Johnson-Peterson American Legion Post #179 and the Auxiliary hosted supper Veterans Day, November 11th at the Legion Hall in Reliance.
Following a social hour and the meal, commander Charlie Kentch welcomed everyone. Certificates for continuous membership were presented by the officers, those present to receive their certificates were; Charles Kentch, 10 years; Kent Hamiel, 15 years; Art Porterfield, 25 years; John Christensen, 55 years; and Richard Reuer, 60 years.
Rosela Wolf, chairwoman of the auxiliary, presented certificates to auxiliary members present including; Jolene Norton, 10 years and Melody Hohn, 25 years.
Following the presentation cards were played.

[b]Hometown Christmas Open House and Parade of Lights set for December 1st [/b]

Presho Area Chamber members will host the annual Hometown Christmas Open House and Parade of Lights Thursday, December 1st. The open house will start at 4:00 PM and conclude with the 4th annual parade of lights down Presho’s Main Street at 8:00 PM.
Participating businesses will be open extended hours to greet customers with holiday refreshments and to kick off the holiday shopping season. Many businesses will be offering seasonal merchandise and in store sale specials. The Chamber’s community room will be open and numerous businesses will have booths set up inside. It has also been reported that Santa Claus is expected to make an appearance in town.
